![]() When going to Prague, we were advised to go see a black light show. Despite all of this, it did I've me the opportunity to write this review which I thoroughly enjoyed getting out of my system! Don't waste your money. It was that bad! If I weren't the polite Brit that I am, I would have left within about 10 minutes. I as downright angry when the show overran for about three minutes. It wasn't even family friendly (with depiction of heavy drinking and snorting of cocaine). Wow! Where can I start? The story line, if you can call it that, was completely unrelated to anything going on in the dance sequences and was quite frankly embarrassing to watch. The only real difference between each dance sequence was the colour of costume and the prop that they were hopelessly waving around. I could have forgiven this if they were anything close to in time, spoiler alert, they weren't. More like some people in stupid leotards, waving their arms about like complete idiots. I was unfortunate enough to experience this "performance" last night and I'm still cringing at the thought! Black Light Theatre consisted of a couple of "dancers" and some. If you're looking for a highly Czech cultured night out, visit the State Opera instead (tickets are cheaper believe it or not!). While silly, it's still somewhat entertaining. If you want to have a fun/silly night out and experience Czech black light, see this show. In conclusion, the attraction is for tourists (and the ticket price says it all). Drink prices are moderate, and may help you enjoy the show - lol. There is a bar inside the theatre that is opened a few hours before the show with plenty of seating. If you're being dragged to see the show (husbands/boyfriends), I recommend you have a few drinks before the show. I recommend you arrive early and if possible, try to grab a seat in the front row (if you want to participate in the show - which I think was the funniest part of the night!). The performance was mixed with Black Light dancing/effects and silly skits to keep the audience entertained while the dancers prepared for the next scene.įor my first Black Light theatre experience, I enjoyed it - but the mini skits were pretty silly. I attended the 'Black Box' performance on November 13th and wasn't sure what to expect.
